Always In The Present

Oliver Guy-Watkins has recently finished principal photography on his debut feature, Vitality and is currently going through post-production. The film was produced by Hyde Hill Productions, Future Industrial Films & Black Arrow Pictures.

Synopsis

Six months ago Cass Horsley’s car was found abandoned by the River Seven, with a note saying one word, ‘Sorry’. On what would have been Cass’ 31st birthday, his closest friends and family gather together to celebration his life. Over the passing months they have been divided, as each bear their own pain from their friends’ passing. His sister, Florence has returned home with a fragile determination to fulfill her life in every way possible. One of Cass’ oldest friends, Daniel has by contrast fallen apart – returning to the days of his youth, however his age cannot sustain this lifestyle anymore. Jack, who completes the trio, is much more secure than Daniel: with a successful job and a supportive partner, Colette. Natalie was best friends with Cass and after his death she can only find solace in her own company.

Prior to his death, Cass had become world renown after his novel was published: with his flatmate, Ader also being a lucrative artist. Like Florence, Ader escaped the city but did so out of necessity. The attention the two men suffered from had ultimately broken them apart, though the blame was firmly placed on Ader. In death, Cass found the privacy he desperately sought, but behind him, he left a group of individuals with a new perspective, that wasn’t quite as clear as before.
